At the Forefront of Javan Wildlife Conservation

Safeguarding Harmony in the Heart of the Last Frontier

The Javan Wildlife Institute (JAWI) exists to secure a future for endangered biodiversity. By integrating data science, field action, and community empowerment, we strive to restore the balance between humanity and the natural world.

Dedicated Since 2016 to Safeguarding Indonesia’s Rich Biodiversity

The Javan Wildlife Institute (JAWI) was born from a profound awareness of the increasing intersection between human activities and wildlife ecosystems. We believe that every species and natural system deserves respect, regardless of its direct utility to humanity. In this new era—especially following the global challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic—JAWI is here to make a tangible contribution to addressing biodiversity loss, climate change, and socio-economic development simultaneously.

Starting in Java and now expanding throughout Indonesia, we are committed to being a trusted reference partner in mainstreaming inclusive conservation science. Through the pillars of science, business, and media, JAWI works alongside partners and donors to ensure that Indonesia remains lush and sustainable for future generations.
